VISA WAIVER PROGRAM ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES
The Visa Waiver Program is a program designed by the U.S government to allow the citizens of certain countries come into the U.S for a period of 90 days without actually getting a tourist visa. As at the last count, about 38 countries participate in this program. Under the Visa Waiver Program, citizens of the following countries who can present a machine-readable passport are exempted from getting visas before entering the United States:

Austria
Belgium
Brunei
Chile
Czech Republic
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Great Britain (United Kingdom)
Greece
Holland (Netherlands)
Hungary
Iceland
Ireland
Italy
Japan
Latvia
Liechtenstein
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Malta
Monaco
New Zealand
Norway
Portugal
San Marino
Singapore
Slovakia
Slovenia
South Korea
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Taiwan
To be included in the Visa Waiver Program, the country must have:
• A very low rate of refusals of tourist visa applications, and
• Few violations of U.S. immigration laws.
